Since We've Got All This Server Space & Bandwidth...

Since these shows are in that 'gray' area of legality, I don't think it would be that bad to host them - after all, we've got shitloads of bandwidth (1.2TB) and 40gigs of server space, so why not use it?

I can set up a FTP account that somebody can upload to, and then post links in threads to download from (perhaps even start a thread for each live show that can contain tracklisting, discussion, etc.)

This would save somebody from having to try to get stuff from USendIt or any of those temporary download services, especially if you missed a thread when it was hot.

If someone wants to head this project up, PM or email me, and let's get the ball rolling! Any suggestions/ideas you can add to this are welcome as well (that goes for anybody).

i think if i had to choose, i'd rather have thre live songs thing, but theyre both good ideas

why not just use the "downloads" feature in ipb, or.. failing that, make it a part of the expression engine site

having the option of subscribing somehow, so you know as soon as a new file is uploaded would be sweet - i cold check my email at work and download stuff on their connection!

Even cooler would be to host all the EKT files, no more broken links! Plus you could have an EKT jukebox, etc...
