how vibert's sampling provides regular brainfarts

a couple times now, i've been watching a movie, listening to the radio, and i've heard a sample he used in one of his tracks. except, it takes a moment to register -- my brain says, I'VE HEARD THIS BEFORE -- but it takes me a minute or two to figure out from where, and that minute feels pretty weird.

i see other people posting threads with similar experiences.

how about it, eh?

Say something, say something, say something, say something, say something, say something, say something, say something

If this was a scholarly forum we would compile a list of all the various samples used in all of Luke Vibert's songs complete with information on the original source, musicological annotations and footnotes with hyper-links to further information.

Actually... this was supposed to be a facetious post but now I'm starting to think it might actually be a good thing to do. Anyone agree?

Musicological annotations could be interesting if done with good humor and creative flair.

I was watching The Prisoner, the spy show from the late 60's, when I heard the makings of "Bend Over", for the Wagon Christ album "Musipal". It was so wierd. I heard a Plug sample at a wedding "Cut('97 Remix)"....it was from a song called "love won't let me wait". Which I had heard alot growing up but never knew it was what he sampled. So, yeah....I'm not alone...
