ive found myself listening to a lot of jandek and id like to read some peoples opinions of him. pretentious trash? genius avant garde? at the very least i think the man has a gift for writing lyrics/poetry. i think the record covers are pure art and would love to see them all on a wall in a gallery somewhere.

yeah, ive seen jandek on corwood. pretty good documentary considering the man himself wasnt involved in any way. i love "ready for the house". a fantasically creepy album. "chair beside a window" is worth it for 'nancy sings' alone.

i can dig on jandek. i dont think he's the weird artistic genius that some people make him out to be, though. he's got some nice tunes and an original style, i will admit. his first 2 albums are probably my favorite. nancy sings is such a good song.

Chalk another one up for liking "Nancy Sings" but apart from really enjoying Jandek on Corwood and the myth of the man before his public appearances, I can't get down with it

Likely my favorite artist of all time. My band recently released a Corwood-approved (I have the letters to prove it!) covers CD of us doing instrumental versions of 9 Jandek songs.
