midi book i saw today

i saw it today in a local thrift store. it was called something like "learning about midid... it had a bunch of machines on the covers like the dx7 and 727 and other shit.

it was pretty lame, a whole book talking about how midi works i suppose and basic midi setups but the cover and the time period made it a win

point elucidation: YEK is proud of his MIDI knowledge, and his ability to recognize DX7's and 727's. However, as this is specific to the point of being an in-joke, he has to take it to teh interwebs in order for people to MIDI, LOL along with him.

but there's nothing remotely funny about the thread.

LOL does not necessarily equate to funny. it is a blanket term in this situation.

i saw an old swap shop annual the other day in a charity shop. some of the pages had been drawn on in felt tips and john cravens hair looked really dated but posh paws made it a win

This is probably the best and most comprehensive book I've found on the subject of midi, dsp, etc, etc...

It's great, a bit spendy, but worth it for all the information and insight it provides.
