Full documentary live album recorded at Wolf Creek during much successful 6 weeks US tour in 2008.

For entire Smile world tour BORIS has recruited legendary guitar player Michio Kurihara as the most reliable additional member.

They played 70+ shows in 4 months and all songs that they played during the tour kept growing and got sounded totally different from original studio album with more persuasiveness.

"Smile" is being released in two different versions (Japanese version produced by You Ishihara, international version produced by the band) thus listeners has got confused with it (maybe), and another "Smile" album is coming…

Nice...I'm interested in hearing the Smile tracks live as the album was a bit different for them. Can't say I liked it nearly as much as some of their other stuff...

Actually further investigation points me to the truth: I only heard the version of Smile the band did not produce themselves...just checked out the version they produced and it's fucking great! Now I'm even more excited to hear it live!

when i saw boris some months back, they pretty much played all of smile and it was great

p.s., the japanese release of smile on diwphalanx records is a lot better than the one on southernlord

i like both versions, i am a fan of their music, it reminds me of what every rock band should be doing.

Yeah I liked both versions of Smile as well. Just depends on what mood I'm in. I saw Boris live before Smile came out and the played all of Flood. I was a happy man.

i like both version too (& they're quite different so). I'm not sure i'll get the live CD even if i really really love Floorshaker played live.

Boris is such a great band.

well, kinda expensive (japanese special version, grey cover) but sounds way better than the MP3 rip i had for months.

& yeah its a monster. probably one of the best gig i've seen (euro tour) so this live cd is a nice souvenir. so Smile is the Quaristice of drone metal : US version / japanese version / live version.
