any good audio to midi programs?

i think it would be great if they made a vst for this sort of thing, i'd use it a lot with samples that i want to midify, you dig?

I wouldn't ever trust a program that turns audio to MIDI automatically, but Waves UltraPitch Shift has relatively good pitch detection, assuming there aren't a ton of sounds going on (I just tested it by running a basic sinewave from a VST through it, and it was accurate). There are probably other pitch detection VSTs out there, though usually whenever I play around with a song I just figure the melodies out on my own.

i used to have a plugin that did this. the results were so so. damn, what was the name of it???
