Yet more received opinion from one of EKT's less bright members. What is it with this board recently. The o/s for the SU874 is buggy as hell and can't be upgraded without the japanese eprom, and you won't be able to find one. Go for the SU674, you lose out on memory, but the o/s is rock solid.

I've never actually used one, but I read a review on vintageanaloguewank.com so I sure as hell know what I'm talking about, and I have an inflated sense of my own importance.

goddamn nail hitler! you dont know shit about SUs. the DRS series is too expensive for what you get, i mean you can even get a fuckgn HYI0087 for less than a DRS-4000 and that has a modable chipset just waiting to be tweaked. shit even the pre-SU JIO-100xk would be better than a DRS. shiiiiit! go back to playign with floops and stay away from this thread. velazquaz knows his stuff although i think he has a 45RTJ-P so whatever

well yeah but the 765 doesnt come out till may and theres a wait list already. the 764 has great specs AND its only going to go up in value from here. just avoid ebay as ts way overpriced due to mb hype

You maggot cocked little prick, I haven't spent years trawling music technology forums and not actually making any music to put up with this shite. I don't use floops, I use a tracker that was only ever released for MSX format computers in Korean. I don't believe in using linear sequencers that have timelines moving from left to right, which is why this particular tracker moves from the bottom right of the screen to the top left, in a jaunty fashion. I don't even sit in a chair, because what the fuck has furniture got to do with making music anyway. That's how unconventional I am.
