Guest Wall Bird
The Computer Music Tutorial - Curtis Roads. It's expensive and intimidating to look at, but Curtis is a pretty good author who does a good job at spelling out digital audio and sound synthesis techniques from the ground up. The book has a bit of a learning curve if you're a beginner, but I cant think of a more thorough and comprehensive resource. It's pretty much an electronic music encyclopedia. http://mitpress.mit.edu/catalog/item/defau...=2&tid=8218 Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/41305-good-books-on-synthesis/#findComment-912785 Share on other sites

Guest mrx
the best way to learn about synthesis is to download a program that allows you to make your own patches (synthedit, puredata, maxmsp, nord modular, reaktor, csound, psycollider,etc...) and going through all the tutorials.
