Mark Pritchard's debut full-length under the 313 moniker. very nice basslines ala dubstep, with nicey beats as well.

Positive Metal Attitude

Last two EPs have been good, so I'll be splashing out for this. Decent cover, but I agree the title is shite.

His last two EPs have been warp's best two non-album releases in years.. If his album follows in the same vein it's going to be a big one..

I find it kind of weird that it's Boomkat's CD album of the week and yet it's not even mentioned anywhere (let alone any link to buy it) on either warprecords.com or the new beta.bleep.com. Has Warp given up completely now in promoting anything good ?

EDIT: 2nd Feb - Looks like they're finally bothering to promote it on Bleep now.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

Waiting for the Japanese CD. Nothing too exciting on the extras front though, just an instrumental version of 'Falling Away' apparently. All the same though, looking forward to it.

It's a cracking little album, just arrived today. Word Problems so should've been track 1 though, it seems to introduce it all good and proper.

Yeah, he makes up for it though as Quadrant 3 is the perfect closing track. Nice lil album overall.

love Mark Pritchard to death. i never liked this direction though he was going in. i'm glad there are people that do like it because he deserves it, but this ain't my thing at all. something not right about the way the stuff is shifted around to get some kind of a groove. it's not a groove i can get into.

the Reload album though, i'm going to be all about that. ambience and industrial, my dream combination!

Some of the dubstep/dancehall stuff is a little bit too much for me. But tracks like Word Problems, Call To Arms, and the oh-so-lovely Quadrant 3 more than make up for them

Erm, this is the first Harmonic 313 album he's released... But no, only one track has Speak and Spell vocals on it (and the track is ace)

Sounds like Dabrye.

What, no way..

This is far more stripped than most of Dabrye's work, and it's got a heavier hand in the dub region than anything..

Really? I could have sworn this was actually marketed as MP's "Detroit Hip Hop homage" album.

Anyway it's more stripped than Two/Three maybe but certainly not AS stripped as One/Three or the Dabrye album on East Dev. And it's got some of the Dilla thing too, who I guess is all the rage to namecheck.

But I do really think parts of it sound like the lost Dabrye album before he got too doofy with the analog shit. All the shuffly bleeps and open saw wave basslines, for example. It reminds *me* of Dabrye anyway (a good thing).
