so much for so much (8:57, 12895504 bytes)

this is just the 'backing' version, there will be a solo or two and maybe some vocals, and probably some rhythm guitar in the last parts.. but basically i want to know if it's too long or not, surprisingly it doesn't sound too long to me, but when i realised it's 9 minutes long i thought maybe it's a bit much for a simple track. maybe it could be the 12" mix lol.

I think it'll be cool with other stuff... guitars and stuff. The main bass synth is a bit too loud I reckon, I liked the drums but they were drowned out a bit.

It is perhaps a bit too basic at the moment... but even so it doesn't seem too long.... even if it was shorter I'd still want more layers of sound.

I've been listening to M83's "Saturdays=youth" a fair bit recently and I can see this having a similar appeal with guitars and vocals (even if they weren't the stand out elements)

thanks for listening! yeah basically the rhythm guitars are going to come in when the chords change in the second half of the song, and there will be vocals here and there, not quite sure if they'll be male or female vocals though. and yes there will be typical pselodux solo action!

any vocals and solos will probably be pretty dreamy and reverby, as a contrast to the upfront sound of the rest of the track. and yeah i'll probably compress it a bit more so the drums cut the track up a bit more - for some reason i'm really getting into that super compressed dance sound lately, when i used to really hate it.

the pselodux stuff i've been working on lately is for an ep that i'm starting to think is good enough to release as a 12". maybe four or five tracks.
