Native Instruments - Maschine

having spent some time on NI website the other night, then again last night, it looks like they've just unveiled something pretty original. a dedicated groove box with a removable 80gb hard drive, that also acts as a software controller. has anyone done that before? it has proprietary software you can run, but also works seamlessly with DAWs like Pro Tools and Ableton. check out some of the vids and tell me what you think. this might be my next big purchase if they can get it down to around $500.

sorry i got the hard drive spec mixed up with the Numark HDmix. watched a lot of videos drunk, so some crossover is expected.
