alright so i really want to buy an 8th from my friend alex, but his weed gets sooo disgustingly dry.

any tips on what i should do?

pour a bit salt on it, then put a tiny bit of chinese sauce (like the really hot one you get in chinese restaurants) on the weed, just a few drops, maximum three or four, this is an old trick.

also make sure you use tobacco that is grown in the south, i.e. southern us or south america as it has a special constistence
