there's a new track over at black moth super rainbow's myspace, which is a collection of snippets of new tunes. i didn't know whether to post this in GB or new releases, but it seems to be a sampler of a new album titled Eating Us (totally jumping the gun here but what the hell).

I dunno, I would just like to see a list of the number of songs that use a delay feedback loop in background a lone. They use so many similar elements. It's not as bad as some other bands though. The traveling hardware band seems to cause this redundancy in song writing. Take for example the last year or 2 of music from the band Yip-Yip. (though the whole reptile house album is like 1 long repetitive song because they went to all hardware)

Yup, that youtube video is indeed from the new album, I saw that a few weeks ago and it was leaked on purpose. this should be good, tobacco worked with a producer for the first time so finally things will sound 'proper' for BMSR.

I remember reading some things Tobacco had said about Dandelion Gum. I think that since the album was loosely based on the two witches folklore, that it was made to sound a bit more woodsy and earthy. This, in turn, got the album some acclaim by the hippy crowd.

I'd think that (given the beats and feel of F*cked Up Friends), the band is slowly taking the "Happy Melted City" and "Changing You All" feel of the city a bit farther, IMO.

But then again, I've been a BMSR junkie for years, and speculate things about them like mad.

i'm buying the shit out of this. this album is fucking fantastic. not as quirky as earlier albums, but some really beautiful music.
