Guest Glass Plate
So I use a lot of drum machines + synths, samplers etc. all sync'd with midi I use FL to send out the main clock and every thing else follows and resends etc. I want to have my 505 on slave mode, but it will only start when it receives a start signal, is their a specific note that does that? I haven't tried doing every not that my midi can send yet (haven't hooked it back up in that mode for a little while) Just thought maybe some one on WATMM already knew. Or if they knew another solution that wouldn't require modding/more equip. BCM
should just work when it's set to sync to external MIDI clock surely? is it set to the right MIDI channel? Guest Glass Plate
yes, in the tr-505 manual it says if you set it to slave mode it HAS to be sent it's start and stop signals, you can't just turn it on/off on your own. (ANNOYING!!) And I think FL sends a constant midi-signal so It doesn't really tell to it start I guess, not sure. Guest Diao
When you hit play in FL, it will start the pattern on the 505. If you don't want the 505 to start right away, just set it on a plank pattern first, and then switch it to your programmed pattern(s) when you want it to play.
