please recreate the entire 2 disc album of drukqs with 8bit synths/drums. the piano tracks would come across as nice little nes-like melody tidbits, with the electronic tracks being awesome 8bit/idm tunes. it'd probably take a fair portion out of your life and i imagine if richard heard it he'd be unimpressed, BUT I would personally be really happy and enjoy the novelty of it all for a good listen or two. maybe skim through the tracks a third time. anyone?

(was thinking about how ridiculous it was devoting time into making an 8bit tribute album of kraftwerk tunes, which is what 8bitpeoples did. seriously, what a waste of time. an 8bit cover of pocket calculator? the songs already 8bit as it is)

i like the 8it version of 4 and the 8bit version of squarepusher theme

apart from that, it can all jolly well go away

Maybe getting ole RDJ to rework these 8bit classics instead with all his fancy analogues would be a better bet?

BEfore starting a project like this, i suggest we make a chip version of vordhosbn or mtstmichel, because really, this is a huge project.

if someone forks out and buys me a HardSID card, i'll use it to cover one drill track for each SID chip on it.

Or you could just use something like Quadra sid which sounds amazingly close.

or you could use this

:fee:

chiptune was only cool when they were being made for NESs and the like, when the musicians had no choice

listen to Jesper Kyd or Jeremy Soule if you wanna listen good computer game music
