"and" indicates a fraction with a whole number, such as "seventy and two-thirds."  "Four hundred and forty-four" is an incorrect, inappropriate use of "and" in indicating the place value of the numbers.

maybe i have no idea what im talking about, but mayebe the 'two-thirds' part is what's indicating a fraction, and saying four hundred and forty four actually means 444.

come to think of it i think the only tracks ive mentioned by name have been a few from Tri Rep

I find that whenever I have to say a track name by Autechre out loud I'm always unprepared and end up saying "yea that song" or something along those lines
