The first time you listened to AFX with good headphones

I strategically picked Logon Rock Witch... jesus Christ, So much going on!

What song do you think you benefit the most with good headphones/system.

when i got my hd280 pro's i remember the first song i listened to was hello meow. first aphex though...i think was to cure a weakling child, countour regard...it was alright.

I sat on a beanbag and listened to saw85-92.

don't have that good headphones yet i think, the first track i think i listened to on good closed headphones was Gelk 2 by autechre

when i heard afx for the first time i already owned good headphones, so it was brilliant right from the start

however i heard drukqs a couple of years ago on a good sound system and i was blown away. i was so stoned it wasnt even cool. i just turned it on and laid in front of the speakers for all of disc 1, and i couldnt believe my fucking ears

Now drukqs must be something in these conditions...

The last minute or so of Mt Saint Michel (whatever) is pretty nasty on headphones. Also some of the additional noises on the Drukqs promo tracks almost made me shit my pants.

yeah I nearly passed out the first time I heard that part at the end of it the first time I listened to it with headphones.

yeah it's pretty intense, maybe I need to invest in some high-end headphones soon but they're so expensive..

i just picked up some sony studio monitor headphones for $70. theyre just as nice as anything i've ever used.

drukqs on 180 gram vinyl with a pair of nice cans= bliss

I recently bought a pair of Grado SR60's. AMAZING headphone for the price, the sound quality is unmatched for a $70 pair. They're made for home use (open design and leak sound) but if you don't mind the minimal sound-isolation they deliver an audio treat. I highly recommend you look into them.

i listened to windowlicker accidentally in front of a super-high-end stereo system at a electronic retailer.. stood there for a few minutes, shocked a) that windowlicker was playing b) how amazing it was

at the moment i`m using these headphones

with an cowon, whose sound is a big improvement comparing to my older creative mp3player -.-

lol, same here actually, I've had it on my pc in shit quality for ages. only recently bought the album and that's when I ripped it to flac as well

when i listened to it for the first time, it was quite a rush, even with that shitty quality. Now its like a whole new album and i havent even listened to everything properly, i must admit.

when I got the tube amp.. thats when things really opened up, had to listen to everything again

the first afx track i heard on good headphones would probably be Xtal or something. I use a laptop, and I hate to hear music on the crappy speakers, so I'm on headphones all the time. I did get a pair of really nice speakers though, but im at uni and can't play them all that loud

I blasted lcc in my college dorm and the worst thing that happened was some doors slamming. so aphex can't be that bad.

was house-sitting somewhere real posh last summer and listened to chosen lords on their big-ass stereo... have never enjoyed it that much before or after, lovely giant acid bass bubbles getting folded up all over the place. about 2 weeks after I started sitting there I heard some some echos of the music through the window and realized that "speaker 3" on the receiver was an additional speaker out on the porch. so either everybody in that neighborhood liked afx or they were too scared/uptight to complain.

I heard Aphex with STAX Earspeakers (about 2500€) a couple of times and I was not amazed...

I think that the Electrostats don't feel Electronic music so good as for example Grado's or Beyerdynamics.
