It makes you feel superior because you know an inside secret that nobody knows about that started in a forum nobody knows about.

some pollacy that never got implamented about not taking PODs at the top of each hour, and i said "yeah that's pretty jazzband." and then looked at the floor.

I told a friend that the urbandictionary.com definition of "The Old Rules of The Internet" was probably jazzband, and he turned around slowly and asked me what I meant, and I had to explain the whole Aphex Twin cover story and it's epic struggle to be known over and over again.
