synthedit is so not idm but modular synthesis is, so they cancel out. your desktop gets you 5 idm points, and ableton gives you 1 idm point. Analord 5 gets you 3 acid points.

No, because that's "cool", and true IDM transcends things like "cool" or "lame" and just exists as a series of numbers in a machine.
