well in 9 years the percentage has dropped by a margin that is smaller than the poll's margin of error, so secularism is on the rise.

i don't think you need a poll to observe this happening and it's not just america.

It would only make sense that secularism would be on the rise from our founding to now given the 'melting pot' ideology and nature of our constantly evolving ethnic background.

I just thought it was interesting that there is roughly 30 million less christians in the country, and given the course of the decline, you could venture a guess that is generational, and possibly cumulative - here's to another 20 years of decline!

It would make sense for secularism to be on the rise as humanity is becoming more advanced and people are less retarded.
