Variance is Vol1 and Vol2 on a 2cd and 2LP due in July (if i get the aiffs delivered this weekend).

So I guess this is volume 1 of variance? Apparently volume 2 is rumored to be more cut up breaks shit.

I think that was early cuts of some tracks for it.

that makes more sense. i was confused as to why variance was sounding NOTHING like the leak.

vol.1 - more melodic/lighter (as heard on mah's show [except for the last track cascade decoherance which is from vol2])

 

vol.2 - more technoey and glitchy and gets faster at the end...

well he did take the time out of his day to do a set on MAH, promoting the album, so I'm sure it'll eventually get into mike's hands.

Oh hell yes.  I'm getting so excited about this damn album, ever since he released Aerodynamic for the Sacred Symbols of Mu comp.  I'm thinking that since it leaked really early on, he put the extra effort into it to make it more than what it might have been without that incident.

I actually think it's really cool to be able to hear "in progress" versions and then the really polished stuff.  Makes you appreciate the final product even more.

I think I'll watch Tron right before the album comes out.

Oh man am I looking forward to this. I mean, Variance has been a running joke for years, but this is sounding like it'll actually live up to the hype. Nice.
