Guest aquinas
i used to post tracks here and there on ekt years ago. anyway, i figured i'd show watmm people what i've been working on for the last few years, and see if anybody digs it. i've been spending time learning arabic, iranian and turkish music for the last couple years, and i just came back from a trip to india where i spent 2 months living in a tibetan monastery and studying tibetan music. i've been recording some tracks with those kinds of influences. not sure that i can get the mixes quite right yet though. http://myspace.com/chrisdpeon "haydar" is done with iranian setar, and so does "surfin' with the shah" which is a cover of the urinals song. "zalim felek" is a turkish song played on the turkish baglama. "panchen lama" is a tibetan jam on the tibetan dranyen, backed with tabla.
