Many a year ago while visiting Universal Studios with my wee niece I had the honor of getting stuck on the "E.T. Adventure Ride" for more than a half an hour. It was right around a cornor and smack in the middle of E.T. planet with joyus E.T.s celebrating the return of E.T.

You can't really tell from this photograph but the E.T.'s are all shrieking and gibbling and there is actually water spraying around, and every minute or so mist would emit from below with a loud hiss. Truly horrifying. I thought I ahad lost my mind after 20 minutes. The ride just stalled there. Out of view, there are also shouting mushroom men and E.T.s swinging from the ceiling in dizzy circles.

I have been on that ride, and I absolutely sympathize with you. Fucking nightmarish.
