thehauntingsoul
I just bought a new set of semi-cheap logitech 2.1 speakers. They are pretty nice but they pick up radio waves and I have no idea how to stop this from happening Its not bad for fast/complex music but when I listen to ambient stuff its really annoying. Any idea how to stop this? Bubba69
There's probably a way to add shielding, I just don't know how. Guest hahathhat
the solution is obviously to disable nearby radio towers with explosives they rarely send out anything that isn't bullshit anyways. or, solution II: stop listening to ambient Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/43596-speakers-are-picking-up-radio-signals/#findComment-979462 Share on other sites

thehauntingsoul
Update, I solved this shit. This is pretty baffling, here is the issue: I am using a laptop, and it turns out that the radio signals are coming in from the AC adaptor and being played through the speakers after. Whenever I unplug my LAPTOP power chord, the sound goes away instantly. It appears as though it has nothing to do with wire shielding. I googled a bit and it turns out the power lines pick up radio signals as well, and you can get a filter for your power strip that will remove that as well as protecting against power surges. Just thought that might be helpful to someone some day Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide thehauntingsoul's signature Hide all signatures Last.fm SteamID: Thehauntingsoul My EP Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/43596-speakers-are-picking-up-radio-signals/#findComment-983502 Share on other sites
