I have 7 LE... but I have no idea how to go about it really... Alzado
I've heard good things about Deckadance, but haven't tried it yet. The cool thing about deckadance is it can be used as a VSTi inside whatever host you prefer. Do you have a controller? I just got a Numark Total Control. Seems pretty cool so far, but I'm shit right now. Guest spraaaa
it's pretty simple in ableton. set up a track for each deck you want and assign some controls for volume, eq etc to a midi controller. I like having a mute and a stop button for each track too. then beatmap your tracks, best way for me is to hit tap tempo with warp mode off, then turn it on and reset it by right clicking the first marker and selecting Warp From Here (Straight), line it up with the first beat and jump through the file making adjustments with some kind of metronome or another beat playing in the background. what don't you like about traktor? I want to start mixing with some software that actually emulates vinyl. Guest Drahken
I've experimented with almost all of the dj mixing apps out there. Only one I don't think I've tried is Serato. Deckadance is probably my favorite, it works just how I want it to. That said, unless you have a dual core cpu or better don't even bother, the audio will probably skip and have latency issues because it was designed specifically for multicore systems. Guest mrx
i've been making mixes with this lately http://www.mixmeister.com/products_mmfusion.html it's great if you just want to make quick mixes for yourself, but don't have the patience and skill to make a proper mix. Guest spraaaa
did either of you figure out the controller business with deckadance? don't have a controller yet but I'm kind of tempted by the new traktor duo coming out in april, apparently the software only version is going for about $120.
