It's getting good reviews and a lot of attention for an artist whose was still hand-writing track titles on his vinyl releases last year.

this has been on my way for a bit, will be checking it out pretty soon.

really good stuff, very groovy deep detroit vibes a la moodyman but more techy, this mix is therapeutic/hermetic soul food

He responded to the comparison of R.V. regarding mixing his own tracks by expressing the fact that he has no idea who the fuck he is. I like Villalobos but find him overrated, so it's funny a Detroit techno purist would write him off.

he's not detroit techno purist, he actually doesn't play techno. detroit house more close definition. there is a large scene of it in Detroit with roots in dark soul and not synthesized instrumentation

so this is basically a compilation mix with a couple new tracks?

yea, he's a bit hit or miss, but his side-trakx eps might be more up your alley.

will give this a listen in a while and come back here with my opinion. i am sure you are excited to hear what it might be.

this was alright. nothing that blew my mind and go wow. second half was stronger than the first.
