i managed to get 11,200 on mine today and it fucking hurt, thought i was gonna fall over from the g. but yeah, these things are amazing, i only found out about them 3 days ago, and already it is becoming so much easier to keep up rapid octaves/full chord sections for longer, louder and faster.

i would reccomend any pianist, guitarist, or drummer to immediately put 'powerball' in google and get yourself one of these, the wrist power it gives you is incredible.

I bought one about 7 years ago, the highest record on it is 19,280 rpm. It's insane and it feels like your hand is going to whip out of control and break your nose, plus it sounds insane. The bit of string that came with mine lost the little plastic end things on both ends so I learnt how to start it by hand without it.

Ive managed to start it with my thumb once, but i cant seem to do it reliably. its not so much getting it spinning fast enough with your thumb as working out how to actually get it going from like 800 rpm. im addicted anyway.

I give it a quick flick with the thumb and it's a slow rotate. You can feel a slight resistance with even slow rpm so you kind of edge it around feeling the resistance, not too fast, and if you get it right then it will get up to speed fast.

it takes it to the next level.

i got one of these when i was 15 because i had skinny wrists. they're quite fun but i could've saved money by just wanking more.
