Guest abusivegeorge
I am very intrigued as to why I've not heard of this artist on here before? he frequently pops up when I'm searching for Vibert and I like his stuff. Guest AOOproductions
Ya get keep it unreal thats his best... everything else is meh. He's famous for the song, "get a move on" that is more or less unmistakable. Easily the most exposure a Ninja Tune artist or even downtempo artist ever got with that song. Guest epsy
mr scruff will always have a place in my heart. Can't listen to a tune called "spandex man" without cracking up at the loops he picked and the visuals it conjours up. Guest -Ad-
Yeah Scruff has his place in the wider electronic scene. There's nothing particularly challenging or interesting about his music, but when he DJ's people dance and Keep It Unreal has a fair few highlights. Think there's a song called Honeydew or something like that on there which is also good - reminds me of an ex so I like it for sentimental reasons. That reminds me, another reason why Scruff is important is that girls like his music - this is very useful when striking the balance on what do of an evening. Getting girls to go and see Venetian Snares is difficult, but hit a bit of Scruff and everyone is happy. I once convinced some friends to see Mr. Scruff instead of the rubbish band they were proposing. It didn't occur to me until we reached the front of the queue that there was no way a bunch of 14-year-old girls would be allowed in, but they did all seem very enthusiastic. Although I doubt it was the music that attracted them, I can pretend.
