first storm of spring.

There is quite a large storm brewing here, the first large one of spring. Lightning just struck and the lights did that little dim. I find storms both wonderful and nerve wracking at the same time. Anyone else love thunder storms?

fucking love thunderstorms. that weird calmness you get in the summer time combined with the heat under an overcast sky. in the evening just an hour or two before dark. love. that. shit.

really? can't wait for thunderstorms, but we just got 4 inches of snow yesterday.

lightning storms are idm.

I was going to stay logged in to see the responses, but i had to shut my laptop down out of fear of frying it. One memorable lightning strike was no less than 50 feet away. I saw my entire room glow that purple/blue and then no less than 1 sec later was the loudest thunder clap I have ever heard.

It would be quite a shock to all of us if you died during that lightning strike

can't wait for a thunderstorm, they're awesome. the house i'm in has an extremely climbable roof, i might go up there and tie some balloons to the chimneys as lightning bait.

I might just be the only one around here who goes chasing a good summer storm? Hail/wind/lightning/no visibility-mash ups are awesome from inside a car
