Give me a reason why i should watch

today i got myself a special edition mash dvd and the book catch 22

both staples of dark comedys set in the war

now... i never really much watched mash before, but i got the dvd here ready to watch but i dont really knwo what its about either. i havnt even seen the tv series of mash. so tell me, why should i watch mash?

Because Altman was awesome.

M*A*S*H is basically a watered-down Catch 22 tho, with the brutal absurdist nihilism replaced with 70s whimsy, so I dont know if it would stand up well to a direct comparison.

im going to download the audio book and read catch 22 starting from tomorrow. Also im a big fan of Donald so yeah i always kind of thought the film is liek the tv series which ludd says isnt true. so let the mashing begin!

it's more than that - you can see that catch-22 was the direct inspiration for MASH. that's not necessarily a bad thing though
