Did anyone see Kn0w1ng

Recommended Posts

ebert has been extremely forgiving of movies since he had thyroid cancer. he doesn't go out into public anymore because he can't actually talk and needs serious reconstructive surgery on his jaw. he probably won't live for much longer...take everything he says now with a grain of salt

I'm prety sure Nicolas Cage didnt write and direct "Knowing".

yeah but name me the last movie he did which was remotely decent

you could same the same thing about DeNiro, but he ever does a movie with (say) von Trier or Tarantino I'll still be first in line

Take a swig ever time someone says a number.

I am pretty sure hilarity would ensue quickly followed by death.

Battlefield Earth - The Drinking Game

© Andrew Dean, 2002ish

There are two teams - TEAM WIPE and TEAM LAUGH. Read the rules and pick your team.

TEAM WIPE DRINKS

* When the cinematic technique known as a "Kurosawa wipe" occurs. Will be better known to most players from its overuse in the Star Wars films.

TEAM WIPE DRINKS DOUBLE

* When a "clock wipe" occurs

TEAM LAUGH DRINKS

* When a character says "HAhahahaha" (note number of "ha"s and emphasis on first "ha")

TEAM LAUGH DRINKS DOUBLE

* When a character says "HAhahahaha" and is imediately echoed by a sycophant

EVERYONE DRINKS

* When ANY character utters the word "leverage"

(PLAYTESTED TWICE USING TEQUILA AND 1xSHOT AS VESSEL SIZE. GOT TO 2/3RDS THRU BEFORE UNIVERSAL PASS OUT BOTH TIMES)

He just said he wont be getting another surgery. :( Hes over that part. He almost died 3 times apparently. I dont know how that happens...its unfortunate.

Hes definitely been more forgiving. I listened to his commentary on Dark City, and he loves that movie with good reason. Its great stuff. And at the end credits one of the things he says is, I dont know what else Alex plans on doing but Ill be watching very closely. He wants Proyas to succeed, and thats great. I would just like to figure out how much of his praise is just like a general interest in the subject matter more than the actual movie, much like his Watchmen review. He didnt talk about that movie in his review or journal entry at all, just ranted about Dr. Manhattan and quantum mechanics.

Zaph hes probably one of my favorite film critics

Damn we agree on something....

I love 'Knowing'....

it is hardcore!

a very well written script.....

witty, frightening, inventive....

a bit derivative but not much film that comes out can be as original as its predecessors.....

not saying something completely new can't be done....

the images are startling yet beautiful and very surreal at times.....

the disaster sequences are some of the most fucked up, realistic, and might not should be shown to innocent beings.....could fuck them up real good

I am going to see it again as soon as I can....

Def the best disaster film to date.....
