Squee
Wow... That sounded really spectacular! I have a thing about picturing things when I listen to new music and when I was listening to Flatlands I thought of a somewhat spooky world of Alice in Wonderland - especially when it reaches it climax I pictured the scene where Alice is floating around in a bottle and the waves makes the bottle roll over and everything gets chaotic. If not Alice in Wonderland then definitely something like it like something more metallic like The Mirrormask ( http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/mirrormask/main.html ). I love the ending especially those seagulls going crazy...I can't really pin down what sound it is, but hopefully you know what I mean. The only thing I'd change about the track would be those highpitched tones, but I guess it's just me because my ears go crazy over highpitched tones so... I liked it! Really dreamy and the painting fits the track. The rusty colors matches my idea of a metallic world... hokum
here comes the sun king ... the long exitway of water from the depths of his bounteous cave engulfed by the ocean allows the great passage for the mighty ship on which he stands .... the rock faces praise him as he passes and the sun as well as flying animals greet him at the mouth... Jaffa
Nice chords and sounds, remind me of the opening track of Global Communications '76.14' album. Sounds really deep after 1.54 when the bass looms in mirroring the chords and things become more sinister . I liked the sustained rolling thunder/timbre vibe that comes around once in awhile. Nice track. Zephyr_Nova
The pads sound great. Very nice chord progression, vast chasms of sound... whoa, the dynamic build up in this is really well done. The cymbals and kettle-drum-type-sound are very effective. Hauniting atmosphere, I like.
