christina aguilera re-recording "good" artists

this really pissed me off, i know in the US anyone can get a compulsory mechanical license and cover a song that has been already released, but this seems like going too far. aguilera is re-recording tracks by Goldfrapp and Ladyhawke, and releasing them on "her album" as tracks that will undeniably be know as christina aguilera songs in the US. according to an an interview i read by Ladyhawke, no one from either record label asked her what she thought, or will answer her phone calls. whats more, Ladytron is going along with this and producing several of the tracks, just lost all respect for them.

this really pisses me off too. its been done. i'd rather there be no market for music if it is not good. what's new? autechre is the only new stuff that does not sound like a wank new. i'd like to hear her sing that.
