i really wanted to Uni it up in cardiff but it was harder to get in because they quite like to get welsh people if they can. those photos make it look much friendlier than liverpool.

One of my flatmates is from Cardiff so I've been out there a couple of times, it's always a decent laugh. It has this remarkable road nicknamed 'Chippy Lane' which is filled with kebab shops and chippies, come throwing out time at the clubs it is always packed with people puking and pissing. Fun times.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

had a few pints in cardiff before seeing rammstein but havn't been out on the tiles there. had a look at the city centre and it was your standard drink-promo meat-markets, except they seemed to be in more abundance/tightly packed than in other places. the welsh are fucking mad.

personally i like manchester and liverpool city centres. i think northerners take more kindly to southerners than the welsh do to the english. also, manchester has the legendary curry mile.

Haha, it's odd how different everything looks in the cold light of day. But yes, that looks like the place. If the gate to Hell opened in that spot I wouldn't even be surprised.

nah man essines on a night out would be fucking sick. we could get some cheap ass vodka and il drink a 75 and be wankered and essines could drink 3 and feel tipsy. then we could go to strip club, get a hooker, and kill her.

and then go for a rave

I'm interested in how Welsh or Cymru, I guess, is set up. From Orbital, I learned that Dwr Bdr means something like "bad/dirty water." Then, in that sign in one picture, it says "Arosfan y Bws Dwr" for "Water Bus Stop." Do they go subject-->adjective like most Latin languages? I only ask because "water" appears to be at the very end of the Cymru translation.

i guess it's just more flexible than English. no idea how Welsh grammar works. maybe Dwr means both "water" and "of water" (as in "bus of water" for "water bus", which is how French typically works), multiple case forms looking the same or some bullshit.

people slag it off but i'd love to at least learn about the language. most of the place names where i used to live were in Welsh despite being (just) in England. always funny seeing tourists trying to pronounce them haw haw haw
