Fever Ray

I have a day off today, and have been looking forward to this album for a while. So I popped down the shops this morning and have just given it a first listen. It's good. It's like the after-hours version of Silent Shout.

 

Anyone else a fan of this or The Knife's other stuff?

I am a great fan of The Knife but I must admit i am very disappointed about Fever Ray. I listenned closely various times to the record but, i don't know, i have the impression that's she's trying to act like Björk. For the dirst time she sings "pretentious", while she didn't with The Knife.

 

Love the sound and atmosphere, of course, cause I like The Knife, but I guess i never would have tried listenning to them if I discovered Fever Ray first. But it works the other way.

Thought this was slightly more Liz Fraser than Bjork... which is a good thing. Hadn't heard this, very nice though. Too bad I'm back at home with crummy speakers that won't do it justice.
