Simple but urgent midi question

I need to create a 2 part midi file in sibelius. I'm writing for piano and nomatter how many staves i use it still comes out as one part when i save it as a midi file. How do i make sure that the left and right hands are seperated? Dunno how clear i'm being but can anyone help me out?
