Took the new AcidLab M1AM1 for a spin the other night. This is raw, uncut jamming on it. Made the pattern in about 12 min., and just jammed on it the whole time. It's not mixed, this is just the main mono out. The shuffle settings are awesome, and this one I think does a great job to highlight at least ONE of the settings. This is practically a track already by the sound of it. The kick and toms play so well off each other that for a lot of applications a bassline and/or sub synth is not needed for a house vibe like this.

I just don't feel like it sounds so good, you can build your own 808 clone with the Eagle Files for probably the same price or less (I don't know price of Acidlab Miami but I'm guessing 400-800 USD) and it sounds way better then this guy.

I also like the new MFB drum machine better, but it could just be all the demo's I've seen for miami just seem to suck.

Now that I've re-watched it, it's half decent, but I still like MFB and building my own better. (economicly for sure)

most of my love is based off an early demo which is just each individual sound ABd against a real 808

be good to hear it in a 3-way shootout with an 808 and a drumstation or something to see if it brings the "real"

i like the MFB too, but it's not worth my investing in a 3rd analogue drumbox unless I get fucking sweet tweakable snares and claps, and I have heard enough of the MB to gauge that

are they for sell yet/ any clue on price?

the word is $US1000, so obviously the MFB will cane it in that dept.

$1000 is about a third of the price of a real TR808 PLUS a Kenton MIDI kit.

yeah that post put me off it a lot as well. not so much the price as the 1337 distribution (or lack thereof), like you basically have to drive round to his house in fucking germany and pick it up

yeah I've always wondered what was with their distribution. So bad, the bassline was a shitty 303clone IMO too.

yes, sure, i would love to have one of these, or even just borrow one... but there are around 219 pieces of gear i feel the same way about, my life will not be much different at 220
