Expensive olives

I bought some expensive olives. Bella Cerignola ones.

I ate one and wasn't all that impressed but thought it tasted exactly like something else. Took me a few minutes to work out what it is. They taste like baby corn, particularly tinned baby corn, but just baby corn, that's the whole taste, it's all they taste of.

edit: and baby corn doesn't taste that great (someone else tried one and said 'yuck', but thought differently when i mentioned they taste like baby corn, she likes baby corn)

some olives can be too meaty and have jacked up textures. make a tapenade out of those fuckers and spice them up and spread them on some crostini

baby corns i adore for the added texture and color in a good stir fry. of course they need to be pickled too.

i bought some really expensive bluefoot chanterelle mushrooms the other day, they were like 40 bucks a pound or something crazy, so i just bought like 3 of them. they were tasty. i love expensive food because i like to have nothing to show for the money i make because i really didnt do much to earn the money in the first place so i think it balances out that way.

baby corns are ace, especially raw. as for this whole up-market delicatessen olives thing, i actually like the cheap black in weak brine the best.

i find its pretty hard not to when your face is sloshing around in a ladys toilet area

If I'm doing the starving dog thing I flip her over so I dont encounter that phenomenon. am i missing out?
