appreciation thread needed for this mix.

lol i blasted lamb's anger in my truck with my recently installed soundsystem when i was obsessed with that album.. everytime bruce willis came on i'd notice people in the neighboring vehicles looking around puzzled.

a puzzled face is usually the reaction to any oizo song/video

which usually just makes me smile even harder - i love when people have to think about the music they are listening to.

electronic will never be another mindless act..even with how hard deadmau5 is trying to turn it into.

also Z off this album really turns some heads.

i'm with GBIII in the dislike of bruce willis is dead.

very flat beat (no pun intended), no build-up or anything; one repetitive section followed by another repetitive section with 4/4 kicks. one of the weakest tracks on the album, hands down

there's someone (i can't fucking figure out who) that i work with that drives a vehicle licensed "NICKLBACK". i chuckled and took a phone photo of it. that's the epitome of mindless for me, granted not electronic music.

it's funny how people that like that garbage respond to hearing something entirely different, like merzbow or.. melt banana.. or autechre... i gave up trying to spread any kind of music i listened to back in high school when it occured to me that just couldn't give a shit about anything they can't share with their friends.. for instance, the radio where i work plays nothing but clearchannel material. isn't a day go by that i don't hear someone saying "oh i love this song!" and more people going "yeah me too!".. is it some kind of conformity thing?

seriously - this is why when a friend of mine asks to hear my music ..i put on the shittiest electro that i got (bruce willis is dead as this thread examples) and they find it annoying as fuck and ask me to change it to what they listen to.

none of my friends have heard of plaid/ autechre...ect

except this guy at my work came up to me and just said afx and walked away

it was a bit refreshing..and a bit strange all at the same time. but isn't that one of the greatest feelings?

I'm about a half hour north. I usually take a train ride into the city each weekend for some boozing & socializing.

I intend to move back there at one point but need some guaranteed employment in the city first.
