Middle Names

Mine's Ross. You can call me Iain R C if you like, as if I were a radio controlled car, or Iain Arsey which is punningly hilarious.

I've noticed a lot of people don't like their middle names, because it's usually where "creative" parents go crazy and give bouncing baby boys something like Vivian or Lesley. These people can be really ashamed and reluctant to share their middle names.

Mine, on the other hand, is kind of boring. All the men in my family are Ross C's , always have been way back to a point where Ross was a surname, and I think it was a Scottish clan name as well. But I don't really know much about my family history.

How about you? Do you have a really suave and debonaire middle name, or is it something like Vivian?

john

it's not even cool enough that i can switch my first and middle names around. ah well, at least for the moment people tend to call me robot (my first name is rob), someone started using it and it kinda stuck.

i hope i never have mentioned what mine is. it was my great grandfather's name, my grandfather's name, my father's name, and my middle name. it stopped with me because i refuse to use it!

what differentiates a middle name from a first name from a surname from a fruit?
