healthy healthy food, sunlight, find some "work" to do until it's a normal bed time.

i usually go out and sit at a friends if my sleep schedule is all messed up, because i can't sleep when i'm aware of other people. so i sit there until it's a normal sleepy time and then drive home, wake up in a ditch 40 miles away with a dog, feeling great

i like the waking up 4am part. when i got back from my last UK trip for about 4 days i got up early and i got so much done before lunchtime. was great.

i find that jetlag is fine if you're at home. easy to deal with. but when you're away then it sucks.

i don't have any solutions i'm afraid. just try and stay awake till dark and eventually it'll right itself

it really helps me to have something external to do - if i don't have any plans, i can't ever get my shit together. if there's some kind of work you can force yourself to do, or maybe travel a little ways away from where you're staying and then don't come back until you've gotten something done.

i almost never drink coffee because i don't like the way it regulates my sleep . . maybe try going off it for a bit?

the only way to cure jet lag is a preventative strike, you have to bring sleeping pills and sleep on the plane

or just dont be a pussy

i've had to deal with lots of jetlag in my life.

all i have foudn that works is:

stay up as long as you possibly can 24+ hours is best, then crash at the time you shuold normally be getting to bed.

this is good advice, however, if you don't have any sort of normal routine when you arrive at your destination, your sleep pattern will never return to normal. since i came back to japan in january, my sleep patterns have been like Ulillilia's.
