I recently ordered some vinyl through the mail and it arrived warped.

Is there a way I can fix this? Sorry I am a vinyl noob.

Lastly do you think the company would be willing to refund/exchange?

not sure,, trying to get it back into shape would most likely involve heat, which would most likely fuck up the grooves.

bitch out the company or man up and listen with it like that

I did do some google research before I made this thread. Two articles recommended putting the records between glass in the oven. I was like "whoa, I am going to check a second source about that ridiculous idea".

yeah you can give up and try listening to it but depending on the warpedness the needle will hop all over the place on the record... even if the needle is weighted

That is what it does. I opened the package and carefully put it on the turntable and when I pressed start the needle skipped. I thought "wtf I have the tone arm balanced perfectly". Upon closer inspection I noticed that the record is warped. Well I guess I am fucked and will have to buy a new record and wait another six days damn it.

you should go out for a jog assume it's a warm day, them come home, stack the warped records, drop your pants, then place your shimmering nuts on them!

there are companies that specialize in vinyl restoration - they would be able to fix it no probs, but would be a bit of hassle as you'd have to send it off, pay for it etc...probably easier to just send it back to the place you bought it.
