your favorite Bauhaus song?

Recommended Posts

don't know the name of the track, but it has a reggae/dub feel to it. i think it's on "the sky's gone out" album or whatever the name of it is!

honourable mention to paranoia paranoia from lagartija nick 12"

also "watch that grandad go" is one of the best track titles ever

i have a big soft spot from slice of life from burning from the inside

the sky's gone out is favourite LP

Guest maantecaaa!!!

Damn, you guys beat me to it: Dark Entries, Third Uncle..i'd add one of those Exquisite Corpse songs in there and I kinda like their version of Ziggy Stardust over Bowies version.

Is there any group out there similar to Bauhaus that is as good? I tried Christian Death and they were ok, a little more theatrical than I was expecting but ok...

BTW, even though I never turned goth, I was the guy that introduced all the goth kids at my high school to Bauhaus before they were ever into the style. LOL.

you might like UK decay. they were kind of the first band to use the goth word (before it got all shit with the sisters of nephilim mission etc) and were contemporaries of bauhaus when they started up. bauhaus were from northampton which is just up the road from UK Decay's hometown of LUTON (the psychick capital of the universe)

the decay (dk) is a slight reference to dead kennedies who played with uk decay here and in amerikkka. jello biafra painted "jello biafra dead kennedies" right along the outer wall of Luton Police Station in Rothesay Rd way back in 80 or something. spon from uk decay is an aquaintance of mine and has shared many awesome UK/DK tour anecdotes

look out for their LP for madmen only

"goth rock" according to discogs... ugh

You can't find a version on youtube (

) that doesn't have the titles edited out of it.

I love the beginning of this movie.
