ok, so many years ago my friend told me an enlightening fact, one so entertaining i've chosen to blindly believe it ever since. but i now am doubting its true and want to know one way or the other, put this whole issue to bed.

if you get a cat drunk, is it true it will never get sober again?

It's totally true man, they absorb the chemical into a recepticle in the brain, and it never leaves, it kind of soaks in as it were.

Why waste booze on your cat. It doesnt give a fuck about you and its a thankless piece of fluff that would kill you if it could.

Although...

My cat often has problems peeing. And apparently it's cos of stress. So now instead of going to the vet every few months they said "just leave her for a week and she should come right. But for now, give this to her, it's like valium for cats."

She was pretty funny when she was on the kitty valium. She struggled to jump up on me or even jump up on my bed or a chair. And her limbs were all floppy and rag-dolly. And she let me rub her tummy and she didn't try to eat my hand. It was pretty fun.

My cat used to love getting stoned.

He would come running when he heard the joints getting rolled.

There was discussion about that vid on the shroomery.

That experiment was clearly skewed to show lsd in a negative light.

First of all, animals are not on the same mental level as us and since there is no way to explain to them that its just a drug/finite experience, there is no way to reassure them throughout. Beyond that its clear that this cat was given an INSANE dosage way beyond recreational dose (per bodyweight) and to top if off they put it in a white shiny box which would add to the confusion.

fucking shit man, if they had been serious about that experiment they would have dosed some dude on like 4 hits and watched him sit on a couch with headphones for a few hours instead.

i looked after a cat last summer, the thing was addicted to food to the point that it licked the gelatin off photographs

anway, i spilled some booze and fell asleep, i wonder if he licked it up. he's been happy since then. he used to be a bit moody.
