i had one at my dads house for a while as my step-brother has one... fucker even had one of those spinning speaker thingies I forgot what they're called at the moment. Shit, that stuff may still be there, as he lives in Germany now, and I highly doubt he lugged that shit there... hmm...

I think the spinning speakers are called Leslie

THAT"S IT!!! He's got a mothafuckin leslie!!! Man, that shit was on the tip of my tounge. Leslie+Rhodes+lushlushlush. seriously.

my dad fixed one once (he's a fender official warranty repairer), and i got to have a play with it, yep, pretty damn awesome. wish i had the funds to buy one, my digital piano's epiano sounds are a little cheesy.

i've got one.

i haven't really

tried to get one fired up round this russian girls grandma's house - swear the place was straight up a 1970s love pad (wood panelling everywhere, reel to reel etc). apparently it hadn't been played for years and it had some kind of clicky charging mechanism (kind of like one on a boiler). managed to eventually get the keys to make tonal popping noises... hope i didn't break it. :S

there great, we have a battered one at the studio and friend of mine has one he keeps in really good nick, i was recording it at the weekend and was reminded how a real rhodes can just fill a mix will silky sound so easily, naturally sitting behind everything else but still so clear and present.

(Bob Wilson) Sorry... you created that reality tunnel, you can find your way out... You built the Trap... you know the design better than anyone...sagatsfz3stage.jpg

I have a friend who found one in an abandoned house. He came back a week later, still there, now in his jam room. Was a bit dirty, but we found the service manual and fixed that bitch up...sooo nice. Really simple idea, but beautiful sound.

My friend found an old one in our old band room in high school when we where cleaning out and we asked the band teacher if we could have it, and he said yes.

He makes super shitty folk music, and I make a wide variety of music. He plays guitar (barely), I play actually play keys (even in some of his bands). Any ways so he took it and was like "hey man you don't even need it, you make weird electronic music" and later he had to have me play it for him for one of his songs. Also, he never cleaned it for fixed it up, still has no legs and is kept on the floor.

It's a sad sad story, but in the long run, I moved to boston and wouldn't of been able to bring it with me any how.
