The 20 best hip-house songs

I've been hoping since the end of the 80's that hip-house would make a comeback. I always thought it had great crossover appeal. Diplo & all of the Mad Decent related people are bringing the style back with a vengeance. Here's the article, 20 best songs of hip-house

Does anybody have any of these tracks? I just have a few (Stevie V-Dirty Cash, Jungle Brothers-Girl i'll house you, and a couple others..) . I'd like to build a compilation from that list.

Seriously hip hop could be saved if they went back to the album formula of one DJ, one producer, one posse cut, and one hip house track.

LOL, i've been listening to that De La song. That 'I can't be your loverrrrrrrr' sample is underrated IMO! Hilarious song.

Funny story about 'The Power': I was in SF last year walking down a sketchy block and saw a group of transient-type people arguing. This one guy that looks like an older version of Mario Van Peebles with cornrow hair, no shirt and bodybuilder pants says really loud "Maaan, FUCK YOU GUYS", picks up a boombox, hits play and out comes out " I GOT THE POWAH!!" and walks away with it on his shoulder, strutting. It might have been the most ghetto fabulous thing i've ever seen in person!
