Can anyone identify this William Basinski piece?

Recommended Posts

just checked all my basinski tracks.. can't find it

i bet it's something unreleased

he does have a new album coming out, maybe it's on there?

I think it is from his new release. I saw a video somewhere else of him performing new material with the same video projected behind him.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

Agreed. An amazing piece. I really wish I knew where I could get this.

Gonna mail the man himself, I reckon.

oh my fucking god i love this man.

i've probably played melancholia more than any other album i have, ever.

it instilled something deeply personal in me, an emotional space in my mind that i love to go to.

easily one of my favorite artists, we're talking top 3 material.

I'm totally with you here.

A movement in chrome primitive and the garden of brokenness are really good too.

i love both of those two!

man, i've been trying to decide on a tattoo for years, but i may just print out the waveform of one of this loops and put that fucker on me.

noone would ever know what it was, nor would 99% of the people i'm likely to meet know who he is or what he does, but eh..

Has anyone got El Camino Real? Just bought it today. What an amazingly emotional piece.

Absolute class.

Yeah that was the first album I actually bought of his. There's a big reverberated pop somewhere in the first 20 minutes that always makes me jump though !

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.
