Guest Gary C
I'm annoyed today. I've had a sore throat for a couple of days, but yesterday it turned into a blocked nose. I realise today that it's probably hay-fever. It feels too early to have hay-fever. I don't want to spend a fortune on tablets this year, so I'm considering getting an inoculation. Has anyone had something similar? Or have any good herbal remedies? Fuck hay-fever! The most unfunny joke. keltoi
i had it so bad as a kid but less as i get older. i found that a big spoonful of natural organic honey twice a day helps a lot in peak times (i read it somewhere and tried it)... cos of the pollen the bees use to create it, builds your defenses to the allergins. and honey is tasty. if i need extra help piriton once a day works best for me. Guest Iain C
I get it in varying amounts year-by-year... sometimes it's overpowering to the point where I can barely step outside without being rendered blind by itchy watering eyes, and some years it's barely noticable. I haven't had any yet, but it's always worse in the countryside. I guess there just aren't enough plants in London. It's the oil-seed rape in Deeping which used to "rape" my sinuses the worst - I think I saw that stuff in bloom when I was there last week so it's probably about time. Bad luck Gary. Wear some big sunglasses, a pair of aviators or that pair of Ray Bans you've been meaning to dig up. Sunglasses make a world of difference for me. Plus you look cool. Guest abusivegeorge
I grew out of it from the ages of about 17-20, but I think last year that I started to get it back again. Piriton is a good allergy relief, also, I've had my nose broken every year from when I was 17-20, so maybe this helps?
