Guest Jimbob
I drank far too much on Friday, recovered on Saturday and spent all of Sunday sober and had an absolutely sick time. It was that good it literally brought me to tears. wtf Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/45109-bang-face-09/#findComment-1025449 Share on other sites

Guest Jimbob
Fruiscante and Snares were never gonna play, I'm surprised people were so shocked when they actually bailed due to ''technical difficulties'' 6 months working on the set my arse. My personal highlights were Gaslamp Killer in the pub and the circle pit during Current Value. Seriously epic weekend, Wisp played a really good set full of hip hop accapellas and mangled jungle Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/45109-bang-face-09/#findComment-1026047 Share on other sites

Solo Strike
It was wicked, probably as good as Bloc but for different reasons. I was awake by 2 days for the end of it and we utterly disgraced ourselves on the way home in Little Chef and a service station. Fucking ace, you guys need to book your plane tickets for next year STAT! Here's what St Acid had to say about the collab cancellation on the BF forum, bit unfair to suggest it was never gonna happen Quote OK here's what happened... None of the analogue synths would sync properly :( the kit was insane, we had it set up for a few days for them to rehearse and it just all went wrong. we had drivers bringing every 101, 303, 606, 707, 808, 909 in from every hire company in London and it just wouldn't work with what they were trying to do. We even pulled loads of synths apart and re-soldered them through the night with an expert who's job it is to build synths! I'm not overly technical so I spoke to Ceephax and Vibert to get them to explain things, basically what they want to do is well hardcore when using 80s synths with current computer stuff. A few tears, a few hugs, some cups of tea/coffee and we decided to move on and try again asap. As we all know John came as a raver in 2008 and wants to have the SDM show in the BF environment. He also said that he'd spent 6 months on this set and he sees each old synth as a separate instrument with a soul. He was also totally gutted to miss most of the rave! We just have to all wait for this one.................
