i dont know but when i see the preview i can't help but think is it just a repacking of Planet Earth footage? and if so why is anybody paying attention to it besides people who have never heard of the original Planet Earth?

yeah the ad for this contained absolutely no new footage as i've seen the entire thing.

It seems like its going to be a stripped down version of the series. Dont get what the big deal is, or what the point of it is.

i did not know there was another,,er, Earth.

at best maybe it will teach kids not to litter

saw it this weekend. some good stuff. have not heard of the "original Planet Earth." I just wanted to see some baby ducks fly out of trees on the big screen. do they do that more extensively in original planet earth? i also wanted to see baby elephants and whales, my other top fav animals. it seems to gloss over those stories though. i was expecting some sort of decent sorty line with those three animal families-- the ducks, elephants and whales. seirously i couldnt hand pick a better set of animals i'd want to see. but was left a little disappointed ultimately. some cool moments nevertheless.

there is a BBC original broadcast of Planet Earth and a rebroadcast with narration by Sigourney Weaver on Animal Planet. either one has been out for a while and im sure it can be found on torrent networks. I heard of the original Planet Earth on watmm originally!

if they are playing it on IMAx (70mm) film stock i would definitly go see it in the theaters, but something tells me they are not

I'd rather watch Baraka anyway.
